Carolyn Rose Stanecki, 84, of Cave Spring, Georgia passed away on December 28, 2023.
She was born May 25,1939 to James Herman McGee and Verdie Dempsey in Savannah, Georgia.
Carolyn is survived by her sons, Jason and Jeremy, her daughter Anastasia and daughter-in-law Lynda. Her grandchildren, Heather Lyn, Shayna Nicole, Dylan Charles and Isabella Rose. Her Great Grandchildren Eleanor Marie and Jackson Charles. Carolyn was predeceased by John Holloway, her loving partner of 30 years.
She was a devoted member of Rehoboth Baptist Church as well as WMU.
Carolyn was a woman who encouraged you to follow your dreams, always believing in the good in people and helping however she possibly could. She had an open-door policy for stray animals and lost souls.
She was a lifelong supporter of the arts. Her love of the theater led her to New York City as a young woman to follow her dreams. She performed in plays such as Joan of Arc, Showboat, Our Town, and numerous others at the Rome Little Theater. She was an avid singer with a beautiful voice and loved to play the piano. She believed the most important things in life were invisible to the eye. She loved with a love that was more than love.
Visitation will be held at John House's Cave Spring Chapel on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 from 4:00-6:00 PM. Funeral services will be held graveside at Rehoboth Community Cemetery at 11:00 AM Wednesday January 3, 2024.
